Dad, how could u leave me here with my mum, she never get's off my case, she just has to control my life and can't handle the fact I have become my own person.

Mum I love you but I don't need u to handle everything in my life and lock me away from the real world, how will I ever learn about life if you never let me experience it, I'm sorry mum but I am no longer your little girl.

Dad I miss you soo much

I still love you both

Sometimes parents just don't want to face seeing their children grow up.
I know you probably don't want to hear this now but coming from someone who has been in both situations; give your mum time to adjust to you being your own person. She will see that you are who you are! Just make her proud!

I'm sorry to ask but did your dad leave or did he die? :'(

My dad left when I was three and has been pretty absent most of my life. He now lives in southern TX and we live in Central IL. He has been ill and had surgery and I wish I could be there to help him but he has chosen to live far from all of his kids. His wife found out she has breast cancer four months ago and is growing through chemo so she can't even help him. :'(

Enough sadness, tomorrow will be a better day! :)

Sorry to hear about your loss. It must still be hard. Remeber the good times.

Onto the other part about mother's not wanting to see their kids grown up. I don't. I hate the ideal of my babies growing up and it is hard for my oldest daughter. It is hard for me to admit to it. I want her to stay young and enjoy her childhood not rush to be an adult. The other day I let her get on the bus by herself. I had to take another child to the doctor wasn't able to get her on the bus. Her dad was home, but sleeping. I felt so awful and so worried. All I could do was think what if she didn't go down? What if she did and some pervert took her? What if...what if.... etc. When I look at her I don't see the wonderful young lady she is becoming, I see that baby girl I brought home from the hospital, the one I kissed her bobos, the one I cuddled when she had a bad dream and comforted when she was sad. It is hard for me to admit she is growing older and needs more respect and freedom. She is taking her time with me (she has no choice). It is getting easier to see who she is now because she is being responsible, mature and respects. It is still hard. Take it easy on your mom. She loves you very much and only wants the best for you. She has good intentions. Try and show her that you are mature, responsible and respectful. If she says no, don't start an arguement or lip off. Not sure if that helped or not.
